Iris pseudacorus & hybrids (English Water Iris)

Iris pseudacorus (from UK & USA) are another group of water irises that prefers to grow in water. More often known as the "English Flag Iris" (originating from the UK), these irises are very easy to grow. Approximate growth can reach up to 1.5m in height under ideal conditions. NOT for Western Australia. Dispatch anytime of the year unless specified.

Attractive bright yellow flowers. Leaves initially variegated with golden yellow and green during early spring then fades to lime green as the season progresses. In cooler climate areas with mild summer weather, the variegation retains for a longer period of time. Attractive for foliage alone. Rare.

Iris x 'Holden Clough'

Iris x 'Holden Clough' (Yellow Flag Iris)
(Patton, 1971) AGM 1993 (The Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit). A beautiful variety created from a cross between Iris chrysographes and Iris pseudacorus. Attractive flowers with heavy purplish-brown veinings on yellow base. Grey-green leaves. An interesting variety. Rare and in very limited supply. Not for Tas.
