Iris pseudacorus & hybrids (English Water Iris)

Iris pseudacorus (from UK & USA) are another group of water irises that prefers to grow in water. More often known as the "English Flag Iris" (originating from the UK), these irises are very easy to grow. Approximate growth can reach up to 1.5m in height under ideal conditions. NOT for Western Australia. Dispatch anytime of the year unless specified.

Iris pseudacorus (Yellow Flag Iris)
Bright golden yellow flowers with slight brown signals. A reliable grower. Commonly known as the English Water Iris. The species plant used in a lot of hybridisation programs.

Creamy yellow flowers. Almost as light in colour as the very rare form Iris pseudacorus 'Alba'. This has been said to be a form of the species plant.

Iris x 'Holden Clough' (Yellow Flag Iris)
(Patton, 1971) AGM 1993 (The Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit). A beautiful variety created from a cross between Iris chrysographes and Iris pseudacorus. Attractive flowers with heavy purplish-brown veinings on yellow base. Grey-green leaves. An interesting variety. Rare and in very limited supply. Not for Tas.
