Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How soon will you send out my parcel?

We send out parcels (containing live plants) early in the week. This is to avoid parcels being caught up in the postal system. Orders that is fully paid by Friday 5pm (AEST) is likely to have the parcel sent out early the following Monday. Otherwise, it will be sent out the week after. We process each order as it comes in and we try to dispatch parcels as quickly as we can. However, during peak periods between spring and autumn, when there is high volumes of orders coming in, it may take a little longer to process as we need time to select the healthiest plant stock available and harvest them for your order.

Orders containing hardgoods (i.e., pond accessories including fertilisers) will be sent on the first business day after the payment has been cleared.

Orders with one or more lotus tubers will be sent when the lotus plants are ready to be harvested. If you would like the remainder of the items from your order sooner, then please add an extra set of postage.

Is it best to select the "Signature on Delivery" option when purchasing?

This is highly recommended. Unfortunately, due to the way that the parcels are sometimes stored or handle by the postperson is beyond our control, plants may arrived not in their optimal condition. The "Signature on Delivery" option allows you (the customer) to lodge a claim directly with Australia Post for compensation (See webpage Australia Post Compensation for more information). Please make sure you lodge the claim directly with the post office that you have collected the parcel from as soon as you have discovered the condition of the parcel. We can also offer insurance post option (at extra cost) if requested, but this is calculated based on the value of the order. See How to Buy page for more detailed information.

My parcel hasn't arrived yet?

Unfortunately, as we have no control over any loss/delay/damage of parcels handled by Australia Post. It is your decision and responsibility to add Signature on Delivery option and to also follow-up with Australia Post after we email you the parcel tracking number. Most parcels can be tracked through Australia Post website.
